The client & the challenge

Restoring confidence through attention to detail.

Fort Erie Medical Group, located at 238 Bertie Street in Fort Erie, brings together three doctors’ offices in a shared medical building. The cleaning program needs to account for treatment spaces, patient waiting areas, reception desks, washrooms, staff areas and the main lobby.

When Niagara Regional Cleaning took over the service, the client’s principal concern with the previous provider was inconsistent attention to detail. Our focus was to establish clear expectations, protect continuity and maintain a visibly clean, welcoming environment for patients, staff and practitioners.

Work takes place after 6:00 p.m. and must be finished before 7:00 a.m., allowing cleaning to happen outside regular patient-facing hours.

Our cleaning approach

A detailed program built for a medical setting.

01 / Disinfection

High-touch surface care

Med 5 medical-grade disinfectant, sourced from Tanshaw Sanitation, is used on designated surfaces. Door handles, push bars and light switches receive particular attention, following product-label directions and site procedures.

02 / Infection prevention

Colour-coded microfibre

Our IPAC-informed cloth system separates washroom, treatment, kitchen and general surfaces to reduce the risk of cross-contamination.

03 / Daily standards

Every receptacle, every visit

Garbage is removed from all designated receptacles each cleaning night. Dust, cobwebs and visible debris are addressed throughout the premises.

04 / Presentation

Lobby and glass detailing

The main lobby receives special attention. Glass and mirrors are cleaned with Invisible Glass and paper towels to achieve a clear, streak-free finish.

05 / People & security

Trusted, consistent staffing

The same primary cleaner has serviced the site since commencement. A trained backup is available for absences. Cleaner screening and site procedures support patient privacy and security.

06 / Communication

Issues flagged promptly

Our team reports observed facility concerns such as plumbing issues or damage, while maintaining a clean, organized supply area and using appropriate gloves and masks for task-specific protection.

Consistency that matters

The same familiar cleaner, backed by a prepared team.

Consistency is an important part of the relationship. Fort Erie Medical Group has had the same regular cleaner since Niagara Regional Cleaning began providing service — someone the client has come to know and appreciate.

We also maintain trained backup coverage so a regular cleaner’s absence does not mean the site is left without an established cleaning plan.

  • Five scheduled visits per week, Monday to Friday
  • Cleaning after 6 p.m., completed before 7 a.m.
  • Background-screened personnel with site-specific training
  • Respect for confidential patient information and work areas
  • Ongoing communication about maintenance concerns
Inside the facility
